The Best Organic Beef Vermont Farmers Provide

By Kristen Baird

There have been many attacks against industrial agriculture, and for good reason. People are finding that it is more harmful to consumers than originally thought. All one needs to do is look around at the increase in the variety of chronic diseases that are ailing consumers. It is believed that numerous questionable practices and pesticides are at fault. As such, it's making it more and more difficult to stay healthy. That has many turning to opting for the best organic beef Vermont farmers offer.

It's important to understand that real food actually comes from real food sources. That's why many are questioning the quality of meat sold in butcher shops and grocery stores. It seems unnatural and odd that what is offered on such shelves are always boneless. Much of those lost bones become ingredients in processed foods, after they have been broken down and processed.

It's important to know from where the cut of meat comes. Animals standing knee-deep in filth isn't natural either. Instead, they should be roaming free and eating what mother nature intended them to eat. That's why there are numerous bouts of mad cow disease.

A healthy cow enjoys the various types of foods meant to be in a cows diet. As such, they grow slowly, naturally, and healthily. That's how one can serve a healthy meal to their family. On the other hand, packaged meat, and especially beef actually comes from an unknown source. A small amount weighing as little as one pound can come from numerous cows.

Turning organic can make all the difference in keeping the family healthy and happy. There aren't any antibiotics injected into the animals, or their food for that matter, and they aren't given steroids. Industrial agriculture uses steroids so that animals grow faster, which will bring farmers greater profits.

Basically, they are using science in food, which is very unnatural. The end result is the end user, or the consumer ends up sick. Packaged foods, including meat have unknown ingredients and additives that will affect people slowly but surely, after consuming them for several years. It's not unlikely that they are one cause for the growing numbers of autoimmune diseases and cancers today.

Forcing animals to grow or using science in foods isn't natural. On that note, neither is cooking the way it is today. Opening up a package of prepared frozen foods and heating it is not cooking, and it's not healthy. One doesn't have to look that far back to remember how people actually cooked from scratch.

Questionable food sources and cuts of meat are linked to obesity. Consider just a few decades ago, how people in general were thinner. There was less diabetes, obesity was rare, but today it's everywhere. It's also true that organic cuts of meat are more expensive than what one may find on a grocer's shelf. A good solution to this is to reduce the amount of meat consumed, and rather, treat oneself to something healthy less often so that it suits the budget.
